About the Department

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in 2009 , having an approved intake of 60 students. The curriculum follows the syllabus prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Chennai. A team of highly qualified and dedicated faculty members, along with well-equipped laboratories, contributes significantly to enhancing the quality of teaching and learning processes. The major subjects offered in the program include Electrical Machines, Transmission and Distribution, Electronic Devices and Circuits, Control Systems, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers, Power System Operation and Control.

The faculty members specialize in various domains of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The department provides several well-equipped laboratories where students gain hands-on experience and develop essential technical skills. The key laboratories include Electrical Machines Laboratory, Measurement and Instrumentation Laboratory, Control Systems Laboratory, Power Electronics Laboratory, Power System Simulation Laboratory, Renewable Energy Systems Laboratory .

Regular departmental and class committee meetings, conducted by the Principal and Head of the Department, help monitor student performance. Special attention is given to identifying slow learners and providing appropriate remedial support.

The academic development of students extends beyond the prescribed syllabus through various co-curricular activities. The department encourages students to organize seminars, workshops, and conferences in advanced areas of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, inviting participants from other institutions and experts from reputed organizations.

Students from the department are placed in reputed organizations. The department continuously strives to make students innovative, skilled, and capable of meeting the challenges of rapid technological advancements.

மின்சாரம் மற்றும் மின்னணு பொறியியல் துறை 2009ஆம் ஆண்டில் தொடங்கப்பட்டது. இதில் 60 மாணவர் சேர்க்கை அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. பாடத்திட்டம் Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) - சென்னை, மூலம் நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. உயர்தரத் தகுதியுடைய மற்றும் அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் செயல்படும் ஆசிரியர்கள் குழுவும், நன்கு அமைக்கப்பட்ட ஆய்வகங்களும் கற்பித்தல் மற்றும் கற்றல் செயல்முறைகளின் தரத்தை மேம்படுத்துகின்றன.

ஆசிரியர்கள் மின்சாரம் மற்றும் மின்னணு பொறியியல் துறையின் பல்வேறு துறைகளில் நிபுணத்துவம் பெற்றவர்கள். மாணவர்கள், நடைமுறை அனுபவத்தையும், தொழில்நுட்ப திறன்களையும் வளர்த்துக் கொள்ள பல நவீன ஆய்வகங்கள் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. அவற்றில் Electrical Machines Laboratory, Measurement and Instrumentation Laboratory, Control Systems Laboratory, Power Electronics Laboratory, Power System Simulation Laboratory, Renewable Energy Systems Laboratory ஆகியவை முக்கியமானவை.

முதல்வர் மற்றும் துறைத் தலைவர் தலைமையில் நடைபெறும் துறை மற்றும் வகுப்பு குழுக் கூட்டங்கள் மூலம் மாணவர்களின் செயல்திறன் தொடர்ந்து கண்காணிக்கப்படுகிறது. மெதுவாக கற்றுக்கொள்ளும் மாணவர்களை அடையாளம் கண்டு, அவர்களுக்கு தேவையான கூடுதல் ஆதரவு மற்றும் பயிற்சிகள் வழங்கப்படுகின்றன.

மாணவர்கள் Seminars, Workshops, Industrial visits, Indenship training and projects போன்ற பல கூடுதல் செயல்பாடுகளில் ஈடுபட ஊக்குவிக்கப்படுகின்றனர். மேலும், மாணவர்கள் தாங்களே Seminars நடத்தி, பிற கல்வி நிறுவனங்களிலிருந்து பங்கேற்பாளர்களை அழைத்து அறிவு பரிமாற்றத்தையும் , தலைமைத்திறனையும் வளர்த்துக் கொள்கிறார்கள்.

இந்தத் துறையில் படிக்கும் மாணவர்கள் பல சிறந்த நிறுவனங்களில் பணியமர்த்தப்படுகின்றனர். துறை, மாணவர்கள் புதுமை சிந்தனை கொண்டவர்களாகவும், திறமையானவர்களாகவும், வேகமான தொழில்நுட்ப முன்னேற்றங்களை எதிர்கொள்ளக்கூடியவர்களாகவும் உருவாக தொடர்ந்து முயற்சி செய்து வருகிறது.
