About the Department

The Department of Agriculture was established in 2022, with an approved intake of 30 students. The curriculum is prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Chennai.The Department of Agriculture is fully dedicated to providing students with practical and technical knowledge in modern agricultural practices. Experienced and committed faculty guide students in developing skills in areas such as crop production, soil science, irrigation, plant protection, and farm management.

With well-equipped laboratories, instructional farms, and reference resources, students gain hands-on training and real-world experience. The primary objective of the department is to produce skilled, self-reliant, and responsible agricultural professionals who can contribute to sustainable agricultural development and rural progress.

Regular departmental and class committee meetings, conducted by the Principal and Head of the Department, help monitor student performance. Special attention is given to identifying slow learners and providing appropriate remedial support.

விவசாயத் துறை – டிப்ளோமா (Diploma in Agriculture)

விவசாயத் துறை 2022 ஆம் ஆண்டில் தொடங்கப்பட்டது. இதில் 30 மாணவர் சேர்க்கை அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. பாடத்திட்டம் Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), சென்னை மூலம் நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டது. நவீன விவசாய முறைகளில் நடைமுறை மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்ப அறிவை மாணவர்களுக்கு வழங்குவதில் முழுமையாக அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. பயிர் உற்பத்தி, மண் அறிவியல், பாசனம், தாவர பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் பண்ணை மேலாண்மை போன்ற துறைகளில் மாணவர்கள் திறமைகளை வளர்த்துக்கொள்ள, அனுபவமும் அர்ப்பணிப்பும் கொண்ட ஆசிரியர்கள் வழிகாட்டுகின்றனர்.

சிறப்பாக அமைக்கப்பட்ட ஆய்வகங்கள், பயிற்சி பண்ணைகள் (Instructional Farms) மற்றும் குறிப்புத் தரவுகள் மூலம், மாணவர்களுக்கு கைமுறை பயிற்சி மற்றும் அனுபவம் வழங்கப்படுகிறது. நிலைத்த விவசாய வளர்ச்சிக்கும் கிராமப்புற முன்னேற்றத்திற்கும் பங்களிக்கும் திறன் கொண்ட, திறமையான, சுயநம்பிக்கை உடைய மற்றும் பொறுப்புணர்வு கொண்ட விவசாய நிபுணர்களை உருவாக்குவதே இத்துறையின் முக்கிய நோக்கமாகும்.

முதல்வர் மற்றும் துறைத் தலைவர் தலைமையில் நடைபெறும் துறை மற்றும் வகுப்பு குழுக் கூட்டங்கள் மூலம் மாணவர்களின் செயல்திறன் தொடர்ந்து கண்காணிக்கப்படுகிறது. மெதுவாக கற்றுக்கொள்ளும் மாணவர்களை அடையாளம் கண்டு, அவர்களுக்கு தேவையான கூடுதல் ஆதரவு மற்றும் பயிற்சிகள் வழங்கப்படுகின்றன.
