About the Department

The Department of Basic Engineering was established in 2009. The curriculum follows the syllabus prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Chennai. It includes disciplines such as Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. All subjects related to basic sciences and mathematics, which form the foundation of engineering education and fundamentals, are taught in this department. In addition, Tamil and English languages are imparted to students.

The department provides preliminary preparation in Basic Engineering, helping students build self-confidence and equipping them to pursue their future careers successfully. Emphasis is placed on conceptual clarity, practical application, and skill development through interactive teaching methods and laboratory work. The department also fosters critical thinking, effective communication, teamwork, and professional ethics, preparing students for advanced engineering studies, lifelong learning, and responsible participation in society and the workplace.

Basic Engineering துறை

Basic Engineering துறை 2009 ஆம் ஆண்டில் நிறுவப்பட்டது. இத்துறையின் பாடத்திட்டம் Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) , சென்னை, நிர்ணயித்த பாடத்திட்டத்தினைப் பின்பற்றுகிறது. இதில் தமிழ், ஆங்கிலம், கணிதம், இயற்பியல் மற்றும் வேதியல் போன்ற பாடப்பிரிவுகள் அடங்கும். பொறியியல் கல்விக்கான அடித்தளமாக விளங்கும் அடிப்படை அறிவியல் மற்றும் கணிதப் பாடங்கள் அனைத்தும் இத்துறையில் கற்பிக்கப்படுகின்றன. மேலும், தமிழ் மற்றும் ஆங்கில மொழிகளும் மாணவர்களுக்கு கற்பிக்கப்படுகின்றன.

இந்தத் துறை, அடிப்படை பொறியியல் துறையில் மாணவர்களுக்கு ஆரம்ப நிலைத் தயாரிப்பை வழங்கி, அவர்களின் தன்னம்பிக்கையை வளர்த்துத் தங்கள் எதிர்கால தொழில்வாழ்க்கையை வெற்றிகரமாக முன்னெடுக்க உதவுகிறது. கருத்து தெளிவு, நடைமுறை பயன்பாடு மற்றும் திறன் மேம்பாடு ஆகியவற்றிற்கு முக்கியத்துவம் அளிக்கப்பட்டு, கலந்துரையாடல் முறை கற்பித்தல் மற்றும் ஆய்வகப் பயிற்சிகள் மூலம் பயிற்சி அளிக்கப்படுகிறது.

மேலும், தொடர்புத்திறன், குழுப்பணி திறன் மற்றும் தொழில்முறை நெறிமுறைகள் ஆகியவற்றை வளர்த்தெடுக்கவும் இத்துறை கவனம் செலுத்துகிறது. இதன் மூலம் மாணவர்கள் மேம்பட்ட பொறியியல் படிப்புகளுக்கு தயாராகவும், ஆயுள் முழுவதும் கற்றல் மேற்கொள்ளவும், சமூகத்திலும் பணியிடத்திலும் பொறுப்புடன் செயல்படவும் தயாராக்கப்படுகின்றனர்.
